Understanding team members' preferences, motivations, priorities, and ideosynchracies can make a big difference on whether team members work well together or not.

In almost all of my strategic team building seminars I conduct with senior leaders and executives, I use either the DiSC profile or the MBTI as a tool to help create cohesion.

The purpose is really two-fold.

(1) To understand self. To become more self-aware. Better stated, to understand how individual leadership styles impact other team members and the people they lead, and also to better understand why leaders respond to others the way they do.

(2) To better understand others. A one-size-fits-all approach to communication does not work. Leaders have to be versatile enough to adapting to others. Failure to do so typically results in unnecessary/destructive conflict, a lack of constructive debate about the important issues on a team, and a false sense of trust and cohesiveness.

Could your senior leaders benefit from a strong foundation of trust, the ability to overcome the fear of conflict and constructive debate, and a faster path to commitment? If so, get in touch with us today. We can help. Info@512solutions.com
